How to start researching and creating a structure:

Experiencing: immersing yourself inn the task

Reflection: what did you notice? Researching

Conceptualisation: what does it mean?

Planning: what would you change?
Interpretation of the question > research > planning > writing > cooling off period > editing and revision
Orientation: what question you will be asking. Define key terms.
Brainstorming: coming up with ideas for a project relating to specific question
Clustering: ordering the brainstorm ideas, eg. Spider diagram. Then turn this into a smaller cluster using the topic you are most interested in
Analysis: use key concepts that relate to your essay question to read some key artworks. Maybe pick 3 artworks for 3 sections of essay.
Organising: organise 3 artworks into 3 blocks and go into more detail with the these 3 sections.
Researching: tracking down, reading and thinking about the critical literature. Keeping careful notes. Remember to relate what you read to the task and abandon irrelevant sources. Talk about issues and test ideas.
